is the app really free?
yes. the app is free, forever. you pay €35 once for the tag. no subscription. no "premium plan". no "snitch+".
what apps can i lock?
you pick. the usual suspects: instagram, tiktok, youtube, snapchat, twitter/x, reddit. but you can lock anything you want. lock your dating apps. lock duolingo. we don't judge.
can i cheat?
yes, in the app. by default, everyone gets 3 cheats per week. in a group challenge, every cheat sends a notification to the whole group. the more you cheat, the more likely you're baking the cake.
how do group challenges work?
start a challenge, invite your friends, set the rules (apps, time, location), and agree on a loser punishment before it starts — bake a cake, buy dinner, post an embarrassing tweet, whatever. at the end, whoever cheated the most does the thing.
can i set location-based locks?
yes. schedule "gym mondays at 6pm" and if your location says you're on the couch, your apps stay locked until you actually get to the gym. same for library, campus, office, your therapist's waiting room.
does it work on iphone and android?
yes, any phone with NFC (basically every phone made in the last 8 years). just hold your phone near the tag — same as paying with apple/google pay.
is this only in english?
for now, yes. translations are coming. if you want a specific language, email us and yell about it.
what if i lose the tag?
replacement tag is €10. or buy a multi-pack and stick them everywhere — bathroom, desk, gym bag.
